A passenger!
(Thanks Bill)
The flight left Oshkosh on time but immediately encountered 90-100 knot
headwinds for the flight to International Falls. That just gave us time to have the Chance Airlines special Filet Minon Breakfast,
with champagne! The four of us, me,
Fred, Francine, and our passenger Bill, enjoyed every morsel!
I can’t report
all of the details here, but in addition to our passenger, we carried hunting
and fishing equipment as freight to International Falls.
The income from the freight and passenger did not cover the cost of the
fuel (867.3 gallons), the crew salaries ($17.67 including bonuses) plus the
cost of the four breakfasts ($123.03).
Some quick mathematics shows the breakeven point could be met with 61.32
more passengers. Tell you family and
friends to take a Chance!
