Flight Details: Does ATC have a thing with our Airline? Departed Fairbanks at 09:08. Real Weather (with 15 min updates) enroute was great; clear, 50 mi vis, temp -2 C, light easterlies. Route was at 11,000 on 168 degrees, but ATC put me on 190 degrees. To avoid a real nasty speed bump about half hour south of Fairbanks, had to emergency ascent to 17,000....good thing visibility was so good. Found myself flying parallel to Kenai, but about 55 mi to the North. With no apparent logical directions coming from ATC, I shut off the radio and flew on to Kenai. Other than that, the trip was uneventful...touchdown at 10:11. Too bad there were no passengers....I had loaded only half fuel and had put a few extra cases of brew aboard.
